notreallythememe:

seriously someone explain why the plural for goose is geese but the plural for moose isn’t meese

Goose is Germanic in origin, so it is confined to the odd English plurals like foot, mouse and tooth; whereas moose comes from a northern Native American language and thus falls under typical English plural rules (classes, kisses etc.).

Hope this helped!                                   - Sincerely, the know-it-all-dinosaur
